Cilek Childrens Bedroom Furniture
Cilek offer a 5 year warranty on all items of furniture.
What does the warranty cover?
As with any warranty, the warranty is designed to cover situations where there is a structural or inherent defect. Such defects are rare, but if one should arise, the warranty will be administered as follows:
- where reasonable, spare or replacement parts will be issued directly to you.
- Where this is not practical or reasonable, the unit will be replaced in full.
- Spare or replacement parts may need to be ordered in. Where this is the case, a delay of up to 8 weeks is possible.
- Spare parts are issued directly to your address. All furniture is sold as self-assembly and presumes a basic level of DIY. We are not able to visit your property and fit replacement parts as part of this warranty.
The following are specifically excluded from the 5 year warranty:
- Cilek bedding and bedroom accessories
- furniture that has not been assembled in accordance with the assembly instructions
- furniture that has in any way been modified or used for a purpose other than childrens bedroom furniture
- furniture that has been used in a non-domestic setting
- wear and tear
- damage deliberately or accidentally caused.
Car beds with lights
Cilek produce a number of car beds with working headlights. The headlights consist of LED lights that, as with any light source, will require replacing over the course of time. The LED lights are therefore specifically excluded from the 5 year warranty, however, it is warranted that they will work at the point of delivery.
If lights are structurally defective they will fail at the point of first turning on or very shortly thereafter. Lights that cease working after many months are unlikely to be defective. The most probable cause is the expiry of an LED (see above) or a connection becoming detached.
To avoid a connection detaching, we advise discouraging your child from jumping on the bed or from sitting on the front nose cone of the bed. Lights which cease to operate in these circumstances are specifically excluded from any warranty.
