The ladder on this bunk bed has been designed so that little hands as well as larger hands can climb easily and comfortably. The foot boards are also wide enough that your weight is spread across the surface, making it easier to access the top bunk.
Both the guards around the top bunk as well as the ladder can be positioned to allow the bed to sit with any side against a wall - if you choose to place it against a wall at all!
While there are no direct regulations, we would not recommend a child under the age of 5 sleep in the top bunk.
