Q1. Is this suitable for a toddler?
A. Yes. The beauty of this bed is that whilst being a single bed it is low lying. Further, the mock side window doubles as a safety bar, as well as looking really good. A number of our customers have purchased this bed as a first bed with some great results.
Q2. I note that when you turn on the car bed lights, there is a sound effect similar to “Knight Rider”. I want to use the car lights as a nightlight whilst my child goes to sleep. Will the sound effect also play when I turn them off?
A. No. This is a very well thought out piece of furniture. The lights can be turned off in total silence.
Q3. Is there an age limit for this bed?
A. No. The mattress size is approximately 5cms short of a standard UK single bed. Therefore, it is suitable for children of all ages.
Q4. The surface of the bed looks really shiny in the photograph. Will it really be that shiny when it arrives with me?
A. Yes, this is a highly polished surface. For packing and delivery purposes, the surface is covered in a thin protective film. This can be easily removed, but we do recommend buffing with a dry clean duster to help bring it back up to the shine afterwards. We also recommend that you follow our unpacking guide to ensure you minimise the risk of scratching whilst assembling.
Q5. What is the bed made out of?
A. The bed has a stong wooden frame with the panels being made from a reinforced plastic. The end effect is similar to fibreglass. On very close inspection, you may notice small release marks where the panels have been released from moulds during the production process. These are extremely small and almost impossible to see.
Q6. The LED lights look great. Can they be easily replaced should the need arise?
A. Yes. LED lights will last a number of years, but we are able to supply replacement parts together with full instructions on how to fit them.
Q7. Do you recommend caring for the product in a particular way?
A. We do recommend dusting with a clean dry duster, no chemical cleaners. Wear and tear will result in some scratching to the surface over time.
Q8. I don’t live in the UK, can you still ship it to me?
