Garden Games Frequently asked questions
Do the products come with a warranty?
The wooden parts of the play system have a 12 year warranty insect damage and wood rot. All other parts of the system come with a one year warranty to cover any manufacturing defects.
Is there an additional delivery charge?
No. Shipping to UK mainland is free. For customers outside the UK mainland, please call the Customer Services helpline (see Contact Us). Saturday and express delivery can be arranged, although a surcharge will apply.
I am interested in one of the play systems. Are they self-assembly?
Yes. All of the play centres/systems in the Garden Games range are self-assembly. Whilst self-assembly is made easy, we would advise that a keen DIYer assemble the products.
Roughly how long does it take to assemble?
We would recommend allocating at least several hours to build the play centre although the timing will vary depending on the DIY skill of the builder!
Does the wood have to be specially treated?
The wood has already been treated. you should inspect the wood annually to determine if further staining is necessary.
Can the Play Centre be placed on grass?
Yes. Grass is a perfectly acceptable surface so long as it is level. You may want to consider access for cutting and maintaining grass. Further, grassy areas can be easily worn and become very muddy during wetter weather. Surfaces you may wish to consider include bark chips, rubber chipping and rubber matting. Bark chips can be purchased in most garden and DIY centres and represent a relatively inexpensive option. Rubber Chipping and matting can be more expensive. If you have trouble locating a source of supply, please contact us.
Are there any other factors I should consider when deciding where to place my Garden Games Play Centre?
Yes. You should allow a border of approx 2.5m around the play centre to allow space for the swing span. Therefore, they should not be placed abrupt to a garden wall or any other object. If possible, consider a shaded area of the garden to reduce the amount of direct sunlight your children are exposed to. You should also take into account the height of the centre, particularly when a child is playing on the swing, therefore consider the proximity of trees or any overhead telephone cabling.
Is there a weight limit for the Play Centre?
No, just the recommended age range of 3-14.
What are the Play Centres made out of?
See each product advert for full details.
What is the delivery service?
Delivery is based on a kerbside only service. This means that you will need to arrange for help to carry the product into your garden. The carrier will call you to advise when shipping is to be made so that you can make appropriate arrangements.
What ages are the Centres suitable for?
The manufacturers recommended age is for 3-14 years. Please see each product for more details.
What is the environmental impact of the Play Centre?
All Garden Games play systems and play centres are made from top grade pressure treated pine. The company follows an environmentally friendly sourcing policy, using pine sourced from forests approved and managed under the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification scheme (PEFC). All systems comply with and indeed exceed all necessary British and EU standards and have been designed with safety at the forefront at all times.
What if a slide or swing breaks, can I replace it?
Yes, we offer a full range of accessories all of which can be purchased separately. Any manufacturers defects are covered by a 1 year warranty, just in case!
