In the UK, the Government recommends that the sleeping area on any childs bed should not be higher than 40cm from the floor. This is particularly important for younger children who may have recently moved from their cot to a first childrens bed and therefore run the risk of falling out of bed. Bed rails can be removed when he child is older, cleanly and easily and without any damage to the bed.
